Graphic Novel: The Lost Carnival by Michael Moreci and Sas Milledge

First off, can we just appreciate how gorgeous this cover is? It's beautiful! That same artistry carries throughout the entire comic. I loved that the artist used a simple but elegant color palette to tell Dick Grayson's story. I am a huge fan of the Batman series so I eagerly anticipated getting my hands on this and it definitely didn't disappoint. I loved reading about Robin's story and his life before he was Batman's trusty sidekick. There's magic, there's tragedy, a circus and, of course, there's the Flying Grayson's. There's not much more you could ask for in a story. This was wholesome, gut wrenching and addictive. I immediately connected with the characters from the first page and I couldn't stop reading. I swallowed this in one sitting.

I gave this 4 stars because I have all intentions in continuing in the series and rereading it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves superheroes or just needs a heartwarming story.

This graphic novel is a coming-of-age story featuring Garfield Logan, aka Beast Boy, as comes to understand why he just can't seem to grow any bigger. It's a story of friendship, self discovery, and a super hero coming to life. The art is my favorite part of this graphic novel. It is absolutely gorgeous. The story is well written and relatable for the young and old! I will be continuing the series! Overall, I gave this book 5 stars. I will read this one again and even purchase a hardcopy for myself. If you are a fan of super heroes, READ THIS NOW!

Red Rising by Pierce Brown

my rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was completely deceived and wrecked by this book. When I was reading it, I was bored and could easily get lost doing something else. But then, I would be thinking about the book later and go back to reading it. So I cared but didn't care? I don't know. I felt like I needed to know what happen but then I didn't. What does that say, probably not a whole lot. This is one of those books where I have to be in the proper mindset. This also falls along of the line of my never ending hate/love relationship with sci-fi. I pick it, I put it down. I switch to audiobook (which helped). Overall, I have no idea how to feel about this book so take it for what it is.  I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because I would recommend it and I plan on continuing the series.

Court's Fool by Frost Kay

  my rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Huge thank you to Frost Kay for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a satisfying ending to an amazing series. I loved this series from Rebel's Blade and that stayed consistent til Court's Fool. I love these characters and I could easily spend a day in the Aermian Court. I read this book in 24 hours because I needed to finish it ASAP. I've said it before but Frost Kay's writing is easily comparable to popular YA authors at this time. Her stories easily compete with authors like Victoria Aveyard and Sarah J. Maas. I have recommended this series to so many in the past and I will in the future. I love Tehl and Sage's story and I look forward to revisiting their kingdom in future series. I gave this four and a half stars because I would easily read it again and I will continue to recommend it to others. My only gripe is I don't think one of the minor secondary characters, Dorcus played a big enough role to be included in the sto...
