Magical Readthon O.W.L.s 2020

Welcome back to my blog! Thank you for visiting. As many of you know already, the 2020 O.W.L.s Readathon hosted by Booktuber Book Roast is now upon us for the month of April.
This year I have chose to participate and after "consulting with my career advisor," I have chosen...drum roll...Journalist or Writer. Shocking I know. So here is what is required for me to pass my "exam."
The way it works is you find your career in the guidebook. I'll link it here:Wizarding Careers Guidebook 2020 here. You pick your "career" (mine being Journalist or Writer) and then these course are what you are required to complete for OWLs. So as seen above, they are History of Magic, Muggle Studies and a subject of my choosing. So these "courses" are now linked to reading prompts.
So for my reading to pass my OWLs, I must choose three books; History of Magic or a book featuring witches or wizards, a subject of my choosing, I am picking Charms or a book with a white cover, Muggle Studies or a book that is contemporary.

Once I read these three prompts then I have "passed" my OWLs and I am now a "qualified journalist" in the Harry Potter world. This also allows me to participate in the NEWTs in August. (This is an advanced exam Hogwarts students have to pass for those that don't know.)

These seems like a lot for someone starting out but I promise it is not that bad. Thankfully, I already have some of this done and I will posting an update. Wish me luck and if you want information on how to participate. I have the link below! Happy reading!
